You can play Cribbage without registering. Your nickname, optional profile photo, preferences and completed-game history are saved on your device.
Device records
We store completed-match identifiers, dates, outcomes, scores, best regular hands and scoring totals and estimated decision-quality summaries to build your player statistics and progression. Older device totals are preserved separately when individual games were not recorded. Guest records stay on the device unless you choose to add them to an account. Clearing local profile data removes that device’s guest record.
Optional accounts and online saving
When you use an account, Base44 processes your email address, authentication information and account identifier. Your nickname, profile photo and completed-game record are stored on the server so you can access them from another device. You choose whether to add this device’s guest history to your account. An in-progress match does not transfer between devices.
Cribbage uses Base44 for hosting, account services and data storage. Base44 may process technical information and app activity needed to operate these services. See Base44’s privacy policy for information about its processing.
iOS 3.0.0 and later
Version 3.0.0 replaces the previous Base44-generated iOS container with a clean Capacitor app. The game assets are bundled on your device. Optional accounts still use Base44’s hosted authentication and data services. Apple, Google or email sign-in may process the account information you choose to share with the provider. See Apple’s privacy policy and Google’s privacy policy.
The new native package does not include the former Wix container, Firebase, Sentry or Maps SDKs. Base44 SDK analytics are disabled in this iOS build, and the Google Ads conversion tag is removed. The app does not display advertising or offer in-app purchases. Base44 and sign-in providers may still process technical information needed to operate their services.
Camera access is optional and used only to take a profile photo. Add-to-Photos access is optional and used only to save a shared player card. Player cards are generated on your device; you choose where to share them. The new app does not request location, contacts, calendar, microphone or push-notification access.
Earlier iOS versions
The following section describes the older Base44-generated iOS container, including the version currently available on the App Store until version 3.0.0 is released.
The iOS app is packaged by Base44 and includes third-party login, security and diagnostic services. Their bundled privacy declarations describe collection of device and account identifiers, app interactions and other usage information, crash reports, performance information and other diagnostic data for app operation, security and analytics. Login services may also process your name, email address, phone number, approximate location and other information associated with your provider account. These native-service declarations are included in the app’s App Store privacy details; they do not mean the cribbage game requests GPS access or requires a phone number.
These services include Google sign-in and security services, Firebase and Sentry. Their processing is covered by their respective privacy notices, including Google’s privacy policy and Sentry’s privacy policy. The app does not display advertising, and the bundled service privacy manifests do not declare advertising tracking.
Profile photos and rankings
Photos are cropped into a small JPEG and stored with your profile. A connected profile photo and nickname can appear publicly on the House leaderboard, alongside rank and aggregate match results. Email addresses and account identifiers are not displayed there. Your optional photo is removed with your profile when you clear it or delete your account.
Account deletion
When account deletion is available, open your profile, choose Delete account and confirm. The app removes your account and its associated profile, gameplay records and statistics. If a connection fails during deletion, return to the same action to finish. The app displays success only after the operation completes. Connected-account records are separate from guest records that you have not added to the account.
We do not intentionally keep deleted gameplay records in the active game database. Hosting-provider backups, operational logs and information required by law may have separate retention periods.
Your choices and support
You can edit your nickname and photo, sign out, or clear your local guest profile in the app. Account features are optional. Contact the developer through the existing support page for privacy questions.
